This customer has a real eye for up-cycling tired looking old furniture. This particular project doesn’t have the after picture because the customer opted to do the fun part and apply the new finish. The cabinet was fragile with a lot of curved glass and not suitable for powered machinery to remove the orginal, dated and tired looking varnish. So for this job olde world elbow grease, varnish remover, scrapers, wire wool, hand sanding and a lot of time was required to strip back the former varnish ready for the customer to apply the new finish. In these images the cabinet body has been stripped back and prepped but the door is yet to be done.
